Advocacy, Education, Support and Scholarships for Children With Special Needs in Our Community.

PAUSE4kids was formed in September 1999, by Keri Bowers, a parent of an autistic son. Eight parents came to P4k's first meeting. Today, P4k serves hundreds of families in the Ventura County area. Our goal is to "fill the gaps" by helping to provide whatever is needed for our children with special needs that is not now readily available. Please read more about us here.

Kathy Greco, Esq. Westlake Malibu Lifestyle Interview

April 2014 Advocating Children's and Young Adults' Rights

Kathy Greco is a much needed voice for children and young adults who struggle for a multitude of reasons that include undiagnosed special needs. A skilled Attorney at Law who specializes in representing children and young adults with special needs, Kathy's passion is finding the root cause of a problem so that the correct remedial care can begin. She works at the front end - before laws are broken and before a child becomes a candidate for the prison system. She recently founded 4Kids1st,Inc. - a public benefit 501 C3 nonprofit that helps children who are struggling. Kathy says, "4Kids1st was founded because every kid deserves the opportunity to learn, to build relationships, to have enough nourishment to be able to focus on education, and to be a part of building a better tomorrow regardless of their socio-economic status." PAUSE4kids provides scholarship or grant funding for programs or services for children with special needs. The Board of Directors reviews applications submitted by individual parents on behalf of their child. Due to limited funding, the maximum scholarship we can provide is $500 per child per year.
